SUMMARY: The House is located on the corner of Second and Rosemount in Frederick. The ghosts of Joseph and Elias Brunner haunt this, one of the oldest houses in town. They are the ones who built the house in 1750. Their voices, with a distinctive German accent, are still heard within the house as well as their footsteps. A tunnel once ran from the house all the way to the creek. Joseph built the tunnel as an escape route for the family in case of Indian attack.

SUMMARY: Not commonly known, the Ouiji board has strong ties to Baltimore. The design known today was patented here in Baltimore by Elijah Bond, although William Fuld is credited with it's design. These boards sold even today in toy and game stores are potentially much more than a mere entertainment; many have found that entities contacted via the board sometimes decide to hang around and some of these are not of the nice variety.

SUMMARY: Over the years this secluded cemetery has been host to many odd sightings and occurrences. People have reported seeing an elderly couple walking around the trees by the pond. Strange noises and lights in the woods have also been observed. An isolated wind has been felt blowing around certain old headstones, while the air is calm around the pond and surrounding area. People have reported distinctive rustling and crackling when there should be silence.

SUMMARY: It is said there are over 30 spirits haunting this place. There are voices heard in the main lobby of men, women, and children that were brutally murdered by a man who went insane inside the hotel.

SUMMARY: The area is haunted by a very malevolent ghost of a man. The ghostly man killed himself in a ditch. His ghost is still haunting the area. Hikers have met this spirit on the trail and have been frightened out of their wits. There is another ghost that wanders the Boardwalk trail between Slaughter Neck and Broadkill Beach. This ghost is a man named Jonathan Morris. His farmhouse once stood near the trail.

SUMMARY: This large Bond brick house was built after the American Revolution by Mennonite settlers of the beautiful Shenandoah Valley, located at 491 Garbers Church Road in Harrisonburg. The Inn is known to be haunted by a number of ghosts, as several people have reported seeing spirits in the house. Additionally, doors open and close by themselves. Odd noises are often heard at any time of day.

SUMMARY: Built in 1760 by Charles Washington, George's brother, this tavern is interwoven with our nation's early history. It served as Charles' home and later, beginning in 1792, it operated as a tavern. It was also the city's post office. It was also a stage coach stop where travelers came to rest and eat. In the past the tavern was named the Eagle's Tavern.

SUMMARY: The Courthouse Square office building was built on the site of the old county jail, which was used from the early 1900's until the 1960's. In the early 1900's the building was the location of several executions by hanging. Several hauntings seemingly accompany this fact.

SUMMARY: The Page family built their mansion in the early 1600's, and several generations lived therein until it burned down and was totally destroyed. Today, several crumbled and dangerously standings walls are all that remain of the 4-story building. The reports match the setting.
