What is eastghost.com ?

This site exists for sharing experiences, pictures, findings, event announcements, questions and information.

It's meant to be valuable to you, to increase your enjoyment and fulfillment, knowledge and understanding, to help you share your experience and find your truth. The point is not necessarily about "proof", it's about experience and evidence, documentation and making and keeping connections.

Through sharing what we know all may benefit. We strive for excellence in all things and welcome compatible individuals and groups at any level.

"We wish to pursue Truth no matter where it leads. But, to find Truth we need imagination and skepticism, both. We will not be afraid to speculate, but we will be careful to distinguish speculation from fact." --Carl Sagan

Revelation • Preservation

"Death is the great Teacher, stern, cold, inexorable, irresistible; whom the collected might of the world cannot stay or ward off. The breath, that parting from the lips of King or beggar, scarcely stirs the hushed air, cannot be bought, or brought back for a moment, with the wealth of Empires. What a lesson is this, teaching our frailty and feebleness, and an Infinite Power beyond us! It is a fearful lesson, that never becomes familiar. It walks through the earth in dread mystery, and lays it hands upon all. It is a universal lesson, that is read everywhere and by all men. Its message comes every year and every day. The past years are crowded with its sad and solemn mementoes; and death's finger traces its handwriting upon the walls of every human habitation." --Albert Pike, Morals and Dogma

Potomac Girls' School

BRIEF: Even the janitors wouldn't.

SUMMARY: Chris O. wrote: "I spent some time doing odd jobs as a teenager at this private school for girls. The original building which the school is built onto is a very old ranch house which is haunted. I personally experienced (when alone in the building at night) lights going on after I turned them off, sounds of closing doors, sounds of moving furniture. There is an overwell feeling of uneasyness here. Other employees I knew, janitors etc., did not like to go into this part of the school at night and some refused to."

Townsend Hotel

Casper, Natrona County, Wyoming
AKA: Townsend Fireproof Building

BRIEF: An old hotel presents phantom voices and coffee smell

SUMMARY: Visiting the Townsend Hotel is a common thrill amongst local teenagers. So many have subsequently reported "hearing voices" that the paranormal activity is hard to overstate.

Arlington National Cemetery

BRIEF: A final resting place for many

SUMMARY: The well-known Arlington National Cemetery lies on the western bank of the Potomac River, just across from the Lincoln Memorial. Over 245,000 veterans and their family members are buried in these hilly grounds covering more than 600 acres. In addition to the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, the Cemetery's most famous monument, there are a number of memorials, including the Nurses Memorial which honors the nurses of the armed forces who served from the Spanish-American War thru the Vietnam War.

Lime Quarry and Kiln Works

BRIEF: Do not fall into the water

SUMMARY: Huge. Deep. Still. Not a smart place to fall into. Numerous dilapidated structures on the quiet grounds form an abandoned, sort of business-town. Now privately owned and rotting away into nothingness, this dying place echoes with the clamor and deeds of a bygone era.

Robert Long House

BRIEF: A house full of creepiness

SUMMARY: The Robert Long House was built in 1765. Robert Long served as the quartermaster for the Continental Navy.

"When you get old, the only things you remember are the things you dared to do and the things you didn't dare to do. All the daily stuff, the things you had to do, the things someone paid you to do, blur into the nothingness of 'unimportant to your soul', and when you look back on your life you only see the dreams you made happen and the dreams you were afraid to pursue." --P.J.
