BRIEF: An accident from horseback leaves something behind SUMMARY: A woman wearing a nightgown haunts this house. People have seen her in the house. People report hearing footsteps in the house when on one is there. The doors open and close all by themselves. People say you feel as though you are being watched. You never feel as though you are alone in this house. BRIEF: The house of an important legislator. SUMMARY: William Paca's Mansion was built between 1763 and 1765. Though Mr. Paca died in 1799, some say his mansion is haunted by his ghostly apparition which often stands at the top of the main staircase. BRIEF: A pirate's treasure, lost amongst the muck SUMMARY: The Greenbrier Swamp is haunted by a ghost that people call Cal's Light. The apparition appears and glows like a light. The apparition will float through the air leaving a trail of light. This ghost has scared people for many years --the story is quite old. BRIEF: Long white dress in the treasury annex SUMMARY: A ghostly woman haunts the Treasury Annex. She is seen wearing a long white dress. She has been seen walking on the second floor of the Treasury Annex. Workers in the building have heard her footsteps. Ghostly voices have been heard, and the ghost occasionally flushes the toilet.
