BRIEF: Once a leading mill town, now submerged; they left the graves behind SUMMARY: Triadelphia was a mill town in Montgomery County located on the Patuxent River. It was once a leading industrial center. Triadelphia was founded in 1809 by three men: Thomas Moore, Isaac Briggs, and Caleb Bentley.
A cotton spinning mill was located on the river. There was also a sawmill, a grist mill, and mill for grinding bone and plaster. A town grew up around those mills. BRIEF: A stone dedication SUMMARY: A stone memorial on the grounds of Fort Meade that's dedicated to ex-prisoners. BRIEF: During a fire in the early 1900's, a young bride named Elizabeth was killed while trying to escape from room 321 on the third floor.
