BRIEF: A ghost. On a bike. In a womens' dormitory. Yeah! SUMMARY: The college is haunted by a young boy who died at the college. His ghostly apparition haunts the fourth floor, which is a womens' dormitory. (Even in death, he sure knows what time it is!) Oddly enough, the pranksterish ghost has been heard riding his bicycle up and down the hallway. There have been strange deaths that would also be unusual, except that they have been usually occurring every year since the college was built. BRIEF: This is the oldest stone cutting mill in the country SUMMARY: Aside from the obvious ghost stories associated with the men who perished while carving out, hewing and working stone from the Seneca Rock Quarry --thus providing the hallmark redstone that was used in famous buildings in Washington, D.C., including the Smithsonian Castle-- there is a lesser known source of ghostiness in this quiet part of Seneca.
