SUMMARY: The South Mountain House was a home in the 1700s. It was located twelve miles northwest of Frederick. It sits on top of South Mountain. In its early days, it was once the only building for miles around. BRIEF: Melancholy apparition beckons to young women SUMMARY: A young man haunts the small gazebo located by the campus lake. His ghostly apparition has been seen at the gazebo many times.
The man apparently drowned in the lake one night and was found the next morning. BRIEF: One of the most haunted cities on the East Coast. BRIEF: A gifted ghost SUMMARY: The Mountaineer Opry House is haunted by a ghostly apparition that likes to play the banjo. People have heard the sound of the banjo playing on the stage and in the rehearsal room, which is quite a feat given that there is no performer physically present at those times.
