Haunts Database
BRIEF: Poltergeists, all flavors. SUMMARY: Harundale is a development that was built back in the 1950's. Soldiers returning home from the Korea War purchased many of the homes.
There are a number of houses in the development that are haunted. The TV show "Sightings" did a segment on one of the houses. That particular house was very active: reportedly, things moved through the air, doors opened, and the people living in the house were touched and hit and they often felt under seige. BRIEF: Old angsts and criminals led to a variety of hauntings. SUMMARY: Old City Hall is located at Court Square and holds an important place in Frederick's history. Back in 1765 the citizens of Frederick gathered at the old court house that was located on this spot to protest the Stamp Act. They burned effigies of government officials who enforced the Stamp Act. All the towns people took a stand against England's Stamp Act, which was a punitive slap to Colonists anyway, which was another abominable form of "taxation without representation." BRIEF: A ghost dancing SUMMARY: When it was open, people would sometimes report dishes moving and pots and pans falling. Also reported on several occasions has been "a dancing ghost." |
