What is East Ghost?

EastGhost is a social nexus for paranormal enthusiasts, researchers and the curious that exists to empower, showcase and connect individuals, groups and information. Open, inclusive and climate-controlled, it offers a positive and constructive atmosphere that's enjoyable and maximally conducive to sharing and learning. One purpose is the collection, discussion and presentation of knowledge and findings: scientific, spiritual, supernatural, and anything paranormal.

With the ongoing help of and for the benefit of numerous individuals and various groups, EastGhost exists to network, share information, and maintain cohesiveness in the paranormal community that we all love. Broadly, we're all involved in the pursuit of truth, happiness and to find enjoyment, information and answers.

Members, independently or in whatever fluid alliances they wish, often share their experiences, expertise and investigative results, many of which are highly focused and ongoing. With thousands of registered members, updates and improvements are frequent; there's always something new.

We're building an organized and maintained "haunts database". We offer an unique melding of forums, pictures and file uploads that's powerful, flexible and purpose-built to make finding and sharing easy and fast. We also help friends keep in touch, individuals find groups and vice-versa, and investigators present their findings. Emailed to all members, activity, events and announcements reach many people quickly. If your group needs more members or is announcing an event, or if you're an individual seeking nearby groups, events or to be involved with investigations, we offer amplification and a good venue for finding and meeting your goals.

Membership is free, and all that's really expected is reasonable, civil participation. Members "get it" and get along while dicovering historical information, sharing personal experiences, discussing theories and opinions, collectively researching facts, and increasing enlightened understanding. SUMMARY: In the late 1800's a stagecoach veered off of a bridge along M Street during a fierce thunderstorm. All horses and passengers perished.

Point Lookout Lighthouse

BRIEF: Many documented paranormal activities

SUMMARY: The lighthouse is known as America's most haunted lighthouse. Point Lookout has had many documented paranormal activities since the 1860's, and the haunts have been recorded by the park rangers. Ann Davis was the first light house keeper's wife who took over his duties. Her ghostly spirit has been seen standing in the stairway. People have heard the sound of disembodied voices talking in the lighthouse. The sound of strange noises have been recorded on audiotape. The ghostly apparition of Civil War soldiers who were lost during the Civil War have been seen wandering the basement and grounds searching for graves that were moved over a century ago.

BRIEF: An old massacre still effects people

SUMMARY: Bay Oaks, an housing development in Lewes, exists at the same location where American Indians massacred members of a then-newly settled Dutch community. The neighborhood appears to be haunted. People have seen orbs floating in the air; streaks of light flash through the sky and inside their homes. Not one, not a few, but over one dozen.

Cossart Road Cult House

BRIEF: Well known local haunt.

SUMMARY: This is a house that is known by the locals. The stories of the haunting has been told and pased down for generations. People have seen strange ghostly apparitions in the house. The sound of voices talking have been heard as well as ghostly footsteps. The house is located in the Beaver Valley.

BRIEF: Local legend holds that an orphanage here "burned down with all the kids still in it.

SUMMARY: Local legend holds that an orphanage here "burned down with all the kids still in it." The bodies were reportedly buried on the nearby hillside, their graves now a strange combination of bumps and dips in the Earth. Screaming has been reported in this area.

BRIEF: Formerly a military school for boys

SUMMARY: Some residents of this nursing home sometimes see small children wandering and playing through the halls. They say floor 3B is haunted: No residents occupy that floor which is completely empty. Nurses walking on night shift can see call-lights flicker and hear noises.
