SUMMARY: People have seen a tombstone in Rocky Hill Cemetery that appears to bleed. The woman buried beneath the tombstone told her husband if he remarries and if his new wife was cruel to her children her tombstone would bleed in sympathy for her children. They have changed the tombstone several times but the blood keeps coming back.

SUMMARY: Salisbury State's Magg's gym was built on a burial ground and is reportedly haunted. People have seen ghostly images in the building. Doors open and close by themselves. The sounds of footsteps are heard in the building. A "suicide student" haunts the bell tower. The apparition of a body hanging in the tower sometimes startles passersby.

The ghost has been seen at the bottom of the stairs, looking upward.

SUMMARY: This is a strange story. Long ago, a man lived in the house across from the bridge. It is said that the man cut out a woman's heart, which he sensibly then threw into the stream under the bridge. Who knows the madness that boils within?

Formerly called the Auditorium Annex, it was built for visitors to the Worlds Columbian Exposition. It was originally an annex to the Auditorium Hotel across the street and boasted a underground marble passageway called the 'Peacock Alley'. Several US Presidents have stayed at the Congress, including Grover Cleveland, William McKinley, Teddy Roosevelt, Willam Taft, Woodrow Wilson, Warren Harding, Calvin Coolidge and Franklin Roosevelt. The hotel is know to have many spirits roaming it's hallways and rooms.

It is believed due to his interest in the B&O railroad and his political activities, that he spent little time at the house. The house is reportedly haunted by the Carroll family.

Workers were in the Barrister Room trying to get windows open; they tried everything and gave up and went on to another task when the window suddenly opened up by themselves. The workers were given lodging while they were working. The workers, after several unusual experiences, refused to sleep at the Inn. One guest woke up to see a spirit crossing the room to the bathroom.

SUMMARY: While driving down Lick Fork road drivers will sometimes see an old car with dim headlights coming at them, but as soon as the old car looks like it is going to crash into their vehicle, the car suddenly disappears.

SUMMARY: Montpelier Mansion is a fine example of 18th-century Georgian architecture. The home was built around 1783 by Major. Thomas Snowden. He was an officer in the Revolutionary Army. His family operated an ironworks. Snowden liked to entertain guests, some of whom were George Washington and Abigail Adams, the wife of John Adams. Abigail had once described the mansion as, "a handsome, elegant home."
