What is East Ghost?
EastGhost is a social nexus for paranormal enthusiasts, researchers and the curious that exists to empower, showcase and connect individuals, groups and information. Open, inclusive and climate-controlled, it offers a positive and constructive atmosphere that's enjoyable and maximally conducive to sharing and learning. One purpose is the collection, discussion and presentation of knowledge and findings: scientific, spiritual, supernatural, and anything paranormal.
With the ongoing help of and for the benefit of numerous individuals and various groups, EastGhost exists to network, share information, and maintain cohesiveness in the paranormal community that we all love. Broadly, we're all involved in the pursuit of truth, happiness and to find enjoyment, information and answers.
Members, independently or in whatever fluid alliances they wish, often share their experiences, expertise and investigative results, many of which are highly focused and ongoing. With thousands of registered members, updates and improvements are frequent; there's always something new.
We're building an organized and maintained "haunts database". We offer an unique melding of forums, pictures and file uploads that's powerful, flexible and purpose-built to make finding and sharing easy and fast. We also help friends keep in touch, individuals find groups and vice-versa, and investigators present their findings. Emailed to all members, activity, events and announcements reach many people quickly. SUMMARY: A young mother, a baby, a British soldier and a few other ghosts haunt this small covered bridge. SUMMARY: The house dates back to Civil War days. The house is reportedly haunted. The sounds of footsteps, thunds, banging, are heard that have no explanation. Candles have risen in the air and moved across the room all by themsleves. Ghostly apparitions have been seen. Ghostly soldiers dress in Civil War uniforms have appeared in the house and on the lawn. BRIEF: Loose shale, uneven footing and treachery mark many Underground Railroad pathways. SUMMARY: West Virginia was a favorite route along the Underground Railroad, and it was used extensively prior to the Civil War. The rough bumpy mountainanous trails were used as paths to freedom by many slaves who were escaping from the south. The routes through the West Virginian hills were favorites among guides because it offered ample many hiding places. The mountains were often treacherous and sometimes led to death instead of freedom, though death might have been a desirable second-best in some cases of heavy-handed and cruel masters. BRIEF: For the love of glass SUMMARY: One evening the owner of the restaurant was working late. She had a security camera in her office that allow her to keep an eye on the restaurant and bar. It was after hours so the restaurant was closed. She looked at the security monitor and was surprised to see that there were two men siting at the bar talking. As she looked at the monitor she noticed that she could not see their the mens' arms. She assumed her camera was acting up and went to see who the men were. When she entered the restaurant she saw that there was no one inside. BRIEF: Girl who was raped and murdered actively haunts this road. Her rapist might also be there. SUMMARY: A young girl was raped and murdered on Bottom Road. Her ghost is known to be very willing to make contact, either through sounds and feelings or occasionally through full-fledged apparitions.
