EastGhost is a social nexus for paranormal enthusiasts, researchers and the curious that exists to empower, showcase and connect individuals, groups and information. With the ongoing help of and for the benefit of numerous individuals and various groups, EastGhost exists to network, share information, and maintain cohesiveness in the paranormal community that we all love. Broadly, we're all involved in the pursuit of truth, happiness and to find enjoyment, information and answers.

Members, independently or in whatever fluid alliances they wish, often share their experiences, expertise and investigative results, many of which are highly focused and ongoing. With thousands of registered members, updates and improvements are frequent; there's always something new.

We're building an organized and maintained "haunts database". We offer an unique melding of forums, pictures and file uploads that's powerful, flexible and purpose-built to make finding and sharing easy and fast. We also help friends keep in touch, individuals find groups and vice-versa, and investigators present their findings. Emailed to all members, activity, events and announcements reach many people quickly. SUMMARY: There is a treasure called the Juan de Chaplain Treasure that is rumored to have been buried near Catonsville.

Malta Home

BRIEF: It is said that back in the 1880's a maintenance worker killed all of the residents on the fourth floor and hid the bodies in the attic.

SUMMARY: It is said that back in the 1880's a maintenance worker killed all of the residents on the fourth floor and hid the bodies in the attic. Some have claimed since that it is possible to sometimes hear those former residents roaming the grounds around the surrounding village of Granville, moaning and searching for families that once lived there.

Rosewood Center

Owings Mills, Baltimore County, Maryland
AKA: Rosewood State Hospital
FKA: Rosewood State Training School
AFKA: Asylum and Training School for the Feeble Minded

BRIEF: A state-run mental hospital.

SUMMARY: Rosewood Center has its own special ghosts that reportedly haunt the mostly abandoned buildings, some of which date from 1888. The facility used to be a state run training school for the mentally retarded. Paranormal activity has been reported as recently as June, 2008.

Lauretum Inn

BRIEF: Old history, ghosts and a soaring bell tower.

SUMMARY: This house was once owned by Senator Vickers. Vickers remains well-known in some circles for voting to acquit President Andrew Johnson. He built his home in 1880.

Drowning Victim

BRIEF: Splashing and thrashing and crying out for help

SUMMARY: The park is haunted by the apparition of a young woman who is wearing an old fashioned bathing suit. People walking on the beach have heard splashing in the water and the calls for help. Some people have heard the ghostly apparition cry out for help.

Hewick Bed and Breakfast

BRIEF: Rich history makes for a most haunted plantation.

SUMMARY: This place is a 326-year-old plantation house that has been converted into a bed and breakfast inn. It is owned and run by 11th-generation descendants of its founder. It sits on 66 picturesque acres on the Rappahannock River. The plantation of course has a family cemetery that is located on the land. There are artifacts that have been found on an archaeological dig on site. It is known as one of the most haunted houses in Virginia. The residents of the house have heard the sound of unexplained noises and smelled the inexplicable scent of sweet tobacco. At least seven spirits haunt the house.
