What is East Ghost?
EastGhost is a social nexus for paranormal enthusiasts, researchers and the curious that exists to empower, showcase and connect individuals, groups and information. Open, inclusive and climate-controlled, it offers a positive and constructive atmosphere that's enjoyable and maximally conducive to sharing and learning. One purpose is the collection, discussion and presentation of knowledge and findings: scientific, spiritual, supernatural, and anything paranormal.
With the ongoing help of and for the benefit of numerous individuals and various groups, EastGhost exists to network, share information, and maintain cohesiveness in the paranormal community that we all love. Broadly, we're all involved in the pursuit of truth, happiness and to find enjoyment, information and answers.
Members, independently or in whatever fluid alliances they wish, often share their experiences, expertise and investigative results, many of which are highly focused and ongoing. With thousands of registered members, updates and improvements are frequent; there's always something new.
We're building an organized and maintained "haunts database". We offer an unique melding of forums, pictures and file uploads that's powerful, flexible and purpose-built to make finding and sharing easy and fast. We also help friends keep in touch, individuals find groups and vice-versa, and investigators present their findings. Emailed to all members, activity, events and announcements reach many people quickly. If your group needs more members or is announcing an event, or if you're an individual seeking nearby groups, events or to be involved with investigations, we offer amplification and a good venue for finding and meeting your goals.

Confederate Soldiers, killed at the Battle of Cedar Mountain, are buried under the front lawn of this house. BRIEF: ...it's who you leave with... SUMMARY: People say that a beautiful young girl haunts the house. She hitched a ride home from a spring party in 1988 with a young man who took her to his frat house where he raped and killed her. The young man was known to be vicious by his friends who were not too surprised by what he had done, as he had a reputation for getting into fights and hurting people. Miller was a colonist who was decapitated by a British cannon. His headless ghost followed his comrades to Chadds Ford, where it happened upon two British snipers who were preparing to snipe George Washington (there commanding troops battling British General Howe, Sep 11, 1777). BRIEF: Under the spiritual shadow of a hanging SUMMARY: The courthouse was built in 1708.
There were a number of hangings on the front lawn of the courthouse back in those times. People believe the old courthouse is haunted by some spirits of those who were hung there. People have heard footsteps in the building and have reported strange feelings when they walk across the lawn. BRIEF: The ghost of a young man haunts the hill at Rabbit's Ferry. SUMMARY: The legends say that a young man, a fiddler, decided to scare away a rival who was trying to take his girl. He climbed a very tall tree and made frightening noises with his fiddle. His plan worked and the rival suitor ran away. When the fiddler began to climb down he fell from some height, broke his neck and died. That hill, some say, is still haunted by the fiddler.
