What is East Ghost?
EastGhost is a social nexus for paranormal enthusiasts, researchers and the curious that exists to empower, showcase and connect individuals, groups and information. Open, inclusive and climate-controlled, it offers a positive and constructive atmosphere that's enjoyable and maximally conducive to sharing and learning. One purpose is the collection, discussion and presentation of knowledge and findings: scientific, spiritual, supernatural, and anything paranormal.
With the ongoing help of and for the benefit of numerous individuals and various groups, EastGhost exists to network, share information, and maintain cohesiveness in the paranormal community that we all love. Broadly, we're all involved in the pursuit of truth, happiness and to find enjoyment, information and answers.
Members, independently or in whatever fluid alliances they wish, often share their experiences, expertise and investigative results, many of which are highly focused and ongoing. With thousands of registered members, updates and improvements are frequent; there's always something new.
We're building an organized and maintained "haunts database". We offer an unique melding of forums, pictures and file uploads that's powerful, flexible and purpose-built to make finding and sharing easy and fast. We also help friends keep in touch, individuals find groups and vice-versa, and investigators present their findings. Emailed to all members, activity, events and announcements reach many people quickly. BRIEF: Originally, the old Drexel Estate was an orphanage. SUMMARY: Originally, the old Drexel Estate was an orphanage. It later became an high school. Two hauntings have persisted. BRIEF: A young boy died in this old farmhouse SUMMARY: Sometime in the early 1900's, a young boy died in this mid 18th century farmhouse.
The lights and applicance switch on by themselves. One night the toy train in the sunroom began to go around the track all by itself. BRIEF: Defenestration at its finest. SUMMARY: The owners died in the house on Halloween, Oct 31 in the 1700's. Since then on Halloween people visit the home and every year the people are thrown out windows. Lights turn on (no electricity), if you take movies on film nothing ever shows up on TV, voices are heard and other activities take place. BRIEF: Odd, crippled or limp sound haunt this old mansion SUMMARY: People have seen balls of light and heard strange sounds in this mansion. This Victorian mansion is haunted by very strange phenomena, including the odd sound of crippled or limping footsteps. BRIEF: Patience of patients. SUMMARY: This house was owned by Dr. George Collage. He expanded his home to create an office for his patients. The building now serves as the Carroll County Historical Society and the Carroll County Visitor Bureau. The house is know to be haunted from people from it past. BRIEF: Where there's a will (and spirit), there's a way SUMMARY: Dead Thomas Harris started making appearances to one of his friends William Briggs: Harris was not happy with the way his will was being settled. He came to communicate his feelings from beyond the grave to his friend Briggs. The story of Thomas Harris' appearance appared in the local papers and the whole town was talking about it. These ghostly encounters were used in a court case to prove that Harris was not happy with the way his estate was being settled. BRIEF: Conscription and hauntings. SUMMARY: Christopher Randall settled in Anne Arundel County in the year 1679. He purchased 1,000 acres on three tracts of land. He named the land tracts Randall's Fancy, Randall's Purchase, and Randall's Range. He also purchased land named Soldiers' Delight. BRIEF: Colonial era plantation with colorful history and an apparition SUMMARY: The plantations that date back to the Colonial era are located on the water, as running water provided motiver energy as well as viable transportation needed to get products to market.
Summerseat was built around 1732. The large house sat on a hilltop located on the center of the property. The house is two hundred years old.
