What is East Ghost?
EastGhost is a social nexus for paranormal enthusiasts, researchers and the curious that exists to empower, showcase and connect individuals, groups and information. Open, inclusive and climate-controlled, it offers a positive and constructive atmosphere that's enjoyable and maximally conducive to sharing and learning. One purpose is the collection, discussion and presentation of knowledge and findings: scientific, spiritual, supernatural, and anything paranormal.
With the ongoing help of and for the benefit of numerous individuals and various groups, EastGhost exists to network, share information, and maintain cohesiveness in the paranormal community that we all love. Broadly, we're all involved in the pursuit of truth, happiness and to find enjoyment, information and answers.
Members, independently or in whatever fluid alliances they wish, often share their experiences, expertise and investigative results, many of which are highly focused and ongoing. With thousands of registered members, updates and improvements are frequent; there's always something new.
We're building an organized and maintained "haunts database". We offer an unique melding of forums, pictures and file uploads that's powerful, flexible and purpose-built to make finding and sharing easy and fast. We also help friends keep in touch, individuals find groups and vice-versa, and investigators present their findings. Emailed to all members, activity, events and announcements reach many people quickly. If your group needs more members or is announcing an event, or if you're an individual seeking nearby groups, events or to be involved with investigations, we offer amplification and a good venue for finding and meeting your goals.
Membership is free, and all that's really expected is reasonable, civil participation. BRIEF: One historic house, two ghosts SUMMARY: Bloodstains and the smell of baking bread. . . BRIEF: First the tenants and then the residents were positively not alone. SUMMARY: The home was built in the early 1700's. The builder was John Bigger who built the house in the shape of a cross. Eric Schneider decided to buy Cedar Hill after he saw the unusual house. He rented the house out and the tenant began having strange occurrences. BRIEF: Tuberculosis hospital turned mental hospital SUMMARY: The Henryton Center is located on Henryton Road near Patapsco State Park. It is located close to Marriottsville Road, near Rt. 32 and Sykesville.
The Henryton Center was created for the care of tuberculosis patients in 1922. The hospital was transferred to the Department of Mental Hygiene in 1963 and began to operate a training and habilitation program for severely and profoundly retarded ambulatory adults. Think of all the fun that occurred there. BRIEF: Tombstone as a step? Bad plan. SUMMARY: This train station was built in 1914; passenger service was discontinued in 1954. BRIEF: A strange apparition on film and photo SUMMARY: The Missionary is known to be haunted by a strange apparition that has been filmed and photographed.
