What is East Ghost?
EastGhost is a social nexus for paranormal enthusiasts, researchers and the curious that exists to empower, showcase and connect individuals, groups and information. Open, inclusive and climate-controlled, it offers a positive and constructive atmosphere that's enjoyable and maximally conducive to sharing and learning. One purpose is the collection, discussion and presentation of knowledge and findings: scientific, spiritual, supernatural, and anything paranormal.
With the ongoing help of and for the benefit of numerous individuals and various groups, EastGhost exists to network, share information, and maintain cohesiveness in the paranormal community that we all love. Broadly, we're all involved in the pursuit of truth, happiness and to find enjoyment, information and answers.
Members, independently or in whatever fluid alliances they wish, often share their experiences, expertise and investigative results, many of which are highly focused and ongoing. With thousands of registered members, updates and improvements are frequent; there's always something new.
We're building an organized and maintained "haunts database". We offer an unique melding of forums, pictures and file uploads that's powerful, flexible and purpose-built to make finding and sharing easy and fast. We also help friends keep in touch, individuals find groups and vice-versa, and investigators present their findings. Emailed to all members, activity, events and announcements reach many people quickly. If your group needs more members or is announcing an event, or if you're an individual seeking nearby groups, events or to be involved with investigations, we offer amplification and a good venue for finding and meeting your goals.
Membership is free, and all that's really expected is reasonable, civil participation. BRIEF: Don't go in the deep, dark woods. SUMMARY: There is a very dense forest located in Skyesville near Route 97. It is thick, almost impenetrable, with undergrowth, and it effectively separates two neighborhoods.
People near the woods have heard the sound of disembodied whistling, peoples' voices and footsteps. BRIEF: Made by a rich Belgian. SUMMARY: The Calvert Mansion is also known as the Riverdale Mansion. It was built in 1801 by Henri Stier who was a rich Belgian. Henri had a daughter named Rosalie. She married George Calvert. George was a relative on the family that helped found Maryland. BRIEF: This large, Civil War era house is always occupied by female students who attend Gettysburg College. SUMMARY: This large, Civil War era house is always occupied by female students who attend Gettysburg College. A small grave in the backyard dates from the Civil War; it belongs to a young woman. She is said to "move around the house at night, moving objects around, breaking plates, glasses," etc. A lilac smell has been reported during these times of activity. BRIEF: What fire could not cleanse SUMMARY: The Worcester State Hospital had been closed for many years with the buildings boarded up. Then the reports of persistent bloodstains on some walls began. And the screaming. SUMMARY: The Lord Culpeper Hotel was built in 1933 and opened for business on December 21 of that year. The hotel was built by Charles H. Hitt. E. Jackson Egghorn and his wife Elizabeth rented the building and turned it into an hotel. Miss Mildred Bispham managed the restaurant. BRIEF: She walked right out of a wall SUMMARY: In December, 1999, a ghostly occurrence ensconsed the finger barracks off of the galley; specifically, in the bottom floor of the women's wing; more specifically, in the open-bay showers area at about 5:oo am. A woman's pink-toned apparition has been seen walking the halls and grounds of the college. Some say she mourns the loss of her infant, buried in the cemetery on the property. |
