What is East Ghost?

EastGhost is a social nexus for paranormal enthusiasts, researchers and the curious that exists to empower, showcase and connect individuals, groups and information. Open, inclusive and climate-controlled, it offers a positive and constructive atmosphere that's enjoyable and maximally conducive to sharing and learning. One purpose is the collection, discussion and presentation of knowledge and findings: scientific, spiritual, supernatural, and anything paranormal.

With the ongoing help of and for the benefit of numerous individuals and various groups, EastGhost exists to network, share information, and maintain cohesiveness in the paranormal community that we all love. Broadly, we're all involved in the pursuit of truth, happiness and to find enjoyment, information and answers.

Members, independently or in whatever fluid alliances they wish, often share their experiences, expertise and investigative results, many of which are highly focused and ongoing. With thousands of registered members, updates and improvements are frequent; there's always something new.

We're building an organized and maintained "haunts database". We offer an unique melding of forums, pictures and file uploads that's powerful, flexible and purpose-built to make finding and sharing easy and fast. We also help friends keep in touch, individuals find groups and vice-versa, and investigators present their findings. Emailed to all members, activity, events and announcements reach many people quickly. If your group needs more members or is announcing an event, or if you're an individual seeking nearby groups, events or to be involved with investigations, we offer amplification and a good venue for finding and meeting your goals.

Membership is free, and all that's really expected is reasonable, civil participation. BRIEF: It is said she was struck and killed by a car while crossing the street in the 1960's.

SUMMARY: It is said she was struck and killed by a car while crossing the street in the 1960's. The ghost of a young woman walks this street at night near the area where the old Hess' building had been. This apparition has been seen, standing "with a vacant look in her eyes." People have claimed to have seen strange lights fly in the sky around the tree, and the entire area has a sense that 'something' happened there. One student took a picture of the tree and a face of an old man appeared in the image.

BRIEF: "This ain't no normal kinda dog."

SUMMARY: There is a ghostly dog know as the Snarly Yowl that haunt the main road in Boonsboro. The ghostly dog is know to challenge travelers as they travel their way in and out of town. The ghostly dog appears out of thin air and then it grows larger and larger.

SUMMARY: Long rumored as haunted (the receptionist cheerfully confirms), this elite-of-elite country club, just northwest of DC along the Potomac River, sports the likes of senators and a who's-who list of dignitaries and presidents and "veeps" going solidly back to its formation over one hundred years ago.

BRIEF: Various activity still haunts this old property

SUMMARY: This home was built in 1820 by Joseph Kemp. The home is now an inn. One employee saw a blue flash streak up the stairs. A lot of unusual activity takes place in the Blue Room on the second floor.
