What is East Ghost?
EastGhost is a social nexus for paranormal enthusiasts, researchers and the curious that exists to empower, showcase and connect individuals, groups and information. Open, inclusive and climate-controlled, it offers a positive and constructive atmosphere that's enjoyable and maximally conducive to sharing and learning. One purpose is the collection, discussion and presentation of knowledge and findings: scientific, spiritual, supernatural, and anything paranormal.
With the ongoing help of and for the benefit of numerous individuals and various groups, EastGhost exists to network, share information, and maintain cohesiveness in the paranormal community that we all love. Broadly, we're all involved in the pursuit of truth, happiness and to find enjoyment, information and answers.
Members, independently or in whatever fluid alliances they wish, often share their experiences, expertise and investigative results, many of which are highly focused and ongoing. With thousands of registered members, updates and improvements are frequent; there's always something new.
We're building an organized and maintained "haunts database". We offer an unique melding of forums, pictures and file uploads that's powerful, flexible and purpose-built to make finding and sharing easy and fast. We also help friends keep in touch, individuals find groups and vice-versa, and investigators present their findings. BRIEF: Location of one of the Civil War’s bloodiest battles. SUMMARY: A major battle took place on this location during the Civil War. Speculated to be one of the most "haunted" places in America. Numerous sigtings of apparitions, ectoplasm, as well as audible and olfactory experiences. Sounds of calamity, men yelling, and even cannonfire have been reported; smells of gunpowder and smoke. BRIEF: This strange creature has been seen over the years in many areas and is blamed for many strange animal deaths. SUMMARY: The legend of el chupacabra began in about 1992, when Puerto Rican newspapers El Vocero and El Nuevo Dia began reporting the killings of many different types of animals, such as birds, horses, and as its name implies, goats. However, it is predated by El Vampiro de Moca (The Vampire of Moca), a creature blamed for similar killings that occurred in the small town of Moca in the 1970s. BRIEF: CX & O path at Dam 5 WVSGH experienced phenomenon that is paranormal in nature! SUMMARY: West Virginia Society of Ghost Hunters investigated the Dam 5 Towpath on 12-17-05. A picture was taken of an entity that was neither a Paranormal Investigator nor a "drifter" on the Towpath! BRIEF: Mary Reynolds just won't give up the ghost. SUMMARY: William Reynolds built the Georgian-style, 3-story tavern in 1747, and he became the first tavern keeper; however, it's had many uses over the years. A cashier who worked at Farmers National Bank lived in the old Tavern From 1812 to 1935. The Tavern housed the Anne Arundel County Library from 1936 to 1957. The National Trust for Historic preservation then purchased the building. BRIEF: Apparitions mark the passing of prominent Washingtonians SUMMARY: The word on the street is that when a prominent Washingtonian passes away a ghostly group of five mourners is often seen entering the church, seating themselves in the first row of pews.
