SUMMARY: Blanche Ward Hall, McDaniel Hall, Big Baker Memorial Chapel, Alumni Hall, Whitford Hall, Elderdice Hall, and the little gazebo have all been said to be haunted

SUMMARY: Legend says a guard was watching the fort when an Indian attacked and killed him. The body of a young boy and a dog were found. The fort is farther down the road and off to the right, a reconstruction of the original. Along the road to fort are two fields on each side of the road. On the right side of the road are telephone poles. Sit at the 3rd pole after dark and look straight ahead; there a guard of the fort was killed, and he still patrols to this day. The guard is a black shadow. Also sometimes audible is a young child's laughter and a dog barking. The barking dog is often accompanied by "a white ball of fog" that appears from nowhere.

SUMMARY: Point Pleasant is haunted by a strange creature which was seen by at least two young married couples one evening in November 15, 1966. They were driving past an abandoned TNT plant near Point Pleasant when the couples spotted two large eyes shining in the night. Then they saw a creature that was shaped like a man, but taller; it stood about seven feet tall. "The creature had large wings folded against its back."

SUMMARY: Morrill Hall is the oldest building on campus. You know it's seen its share of activity. It is widely thought to be haunted. The building was used for medical training more than 80 years ago. UMCP kept cadavers for dissection in the basement [see Frank the gravedigger].

Occasionaly swtiching light switches that are left on or moving random objects. Not a ghost to be feared, but just a spirit who may be there to lend a helping hand.

SUMMARY: Back during the early 1800's a couple was living near the Gunpowder river. The couple had six girls and one boy. The husband left his wife and ran off with another woman. The wife was left alone to raise the children. The woman worried about money to raise five children. She resented the youngest child who was the son. She disliked the boy because he looked like his father, and she was sure that he would grow up to be like his father. People who visit the area have heard a little boy screaming. Some people have said that they saw a little boy running across the road. Someone has placed a sign on the road that says "listen." People have heard voices in the woods and the sound of screams.

SUMMARY: Popularized by Dawson in his book as Ley Lines, certain great circles on the Earth are "meridians of power", and buildings and other important structures are often built thereupon. Meridian Hill Park, 13 blocks directly north of the White House (the meridian itself passes directly through the Whitehouse's East Wing), is the park that surrounds the exact point at which the "77th parallel" (the vertical line of longitude, 77-degrees west of Greenwich, England) crosses the Ley Line.

A cashier who worked at Farmers National Bank lived in the old Tavern From 1812 to 1935. The Tavern housed the Anne Arundel County Library from 1936 to 1957. The National Trust for Historic preservation then purchased the building.

SUMMARY: A restaurant called Connolly Seafood Restaurant once stood where the Christopher Columbus Center now stands. This restaurant was haunted by three ghosts: Thomas Connolly, his mistress Eva and his son Sterling.
