SUMMARY: Portland Manor is a mansion house located in Lothian. The land that it sits on is part of 2,000 acres that was granted by Cecil Calvert, the second Lord Baltimore. The land was given to Jerome White in 1667. The mansion house was built in 1754 and, the manor house now sits on five acres of land.

SUMMARY: The Westover Mansion was built in 1730 by William Byrd II, the founder of Richmond. The east wing of the Mansion was added much later in the early 1900's. The Icehouse is located east of the house. The icehouse contains a dry well with passageways that led under the house and to the river.
