Psy-ops "combined to redefine the parameters of acceptable discourse in America. Principal among the notions placed beyond the Pale was the practice and theory of "conspiracism" -- which soon came to include criticism of mainstream reportage. More than a matter of seeing cabals behind every murder, it was a way of thinking, a stance toward the networks, the press and the feds. Anyone who looked too deeply into events, or who asked too many questions, was dismissed as "a conspiracy theorist." (This, after MK-ULTRA, Iran-Contra, BCCI, and the destruction of the World Trade Centers.) In some ways, it is as if the century itself has been encrypted, so that if an historian would be honest, he must also become an investigative reporter. Failing that, we are left at the mercy of ambitious academicians and journalists, stenographers to power who are themselves complicit in an astonishing string of cover-ups and atrocities that stretch from Dealy Plaza to Watergate, Waco to 9/11." --Peter Levenda

BRIEF: "lost at sea at the age of 40" SUMMARY: The story how Timonium got it name is a very interesting tale.
A woman from the Baltimore area named Cassandra Van Pradelles was returning on a ship from New Orleans in 1815. Her ship was captured by pirates. BRIEF: Haunted by the ghost of a baby girl named Gloria SUMMARY: The building once housed Maureen's New International Cuisine. It is now an Italian restaurant said to be haunted by the ghost of a baby girl called Gloria. It's said she perished in her crib; disputed is whether it was murder and by whom. BRIEF: Charles haunts this place. SUMMARY: The house was built by Charles Carroll, last living signer of the Declaration of Independence, in 1754. Charle Carroll was born in Annapolis in 1737 and after studying abroad returned to Frederick County and built Carrollton Manor which once occupied an estate of over 17,000 acres, including mills, a race track and several lime kilns. It is believed due to his interest in the B&O railroad and his political activities, that he spent little time at the house.
The house is reportedly haunted by the Carroll family.
