Her ghost has been seen walking down a narrow hallway on that same floor. Ironically enough, the fire escape is located at the end of the hallway. BRIEF: Haunted Bed & Breakfast in Kennebunkport, ME SUMMARY: The Tides Inn was built in 1899 for original owner Emma Foss. At one time the inn was known as the New Belvidere and hosted such famous individuals as Theodore Rosevelt and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. The Inn is haunted by the ghost of her original owner, Emma Foss. Emma's ghost is known to get upset when things are rearranged in the inn, any changes can cause her to make herself known by noises and movement of objects and furniture. BRIEF: 18th Century Iron Furnace - Scene of Horrific Death of Soldier SUMMARY: Thomas Johnson was the founder of the furnace, opening it in 1776. He made kettles, pots, stoves and then cannons, weapons and ammunition for the Civil War. BRIEF: Long history of grist milling in the countryside SUMMARY: The mill sits in ruins.
