SUMMARY: Owned by Maryland National Capital Park and Planning Commission. This house sits back from the road and comprises three different architectural styles. This mansion, with 8,000 square feet, was a hub for community life in the 1700's and was the home of major Lansdale, a founding citizen of nearby Bowie. BRIEF: Early Church ruin and Cemetery on Maryland's Eastern Shore more active that it appears SUMMARY: Located on the Eastern shore of Maryland in Talbot County, the Whitemarsh Church ruins and Cemetery dating to the mid 1600s is a monument to Maryland's earliest days and also possible home to the spirits of it's early citizens. BRIEF: A faceless sighting scares two girls SUMMARY: The abandoned house is haunted by a ghostly old man. One day two girls were playing in the yard when the ghostly old man dressed in black walked next to the girls. The old man did not have a face. The girls were scared. People have heard strange noises in and around this house. BRIEF: Two British soldiers remain buried here SUMMARY: This town was an early chief port on the Patuxent River for Maryland. It was one of the first ports established by the 1683 Act for Advancement of Trade.
