BRIEF: The bridge set several records when it was built SUMMARY: Thomas Viduct is located at Levering Avenue, west of Route 1, in Elkridge. Built in the 1800's, the Thomas Viaduct is the oldest stone arch railroad viaduct. It is 704 feet long. Designed by Benjamin Henry Latrobe Jr., it was named after Philip E. Thomas, the first president of the B&O Railroad. When it was built it was the largest bridge in America. Also, it was built in a curve, which had never been done before. BRIEF: Frightened of Teacher SUMMARY: This school is the Port Republic School Number 7. It is over one-hundred years old. People believe the school is haunted by students and teachers from its past. People claim that they have heard strange noises and have seen strange lights in the building. BRIEF: A Most Violent jail closes, leaving intense, negative energies swirling about. SUMMARY: Once considered to be one of the most violent jails ever; this facility was condemned and shut down in 1995. Now, instead of being one of the most violent jails ever, it is one of the most paranormal places ever! Footsteps, mysterious formations and many other horrifying experiences, including the acute feeling of being gutted alive, have been reported. |
