BRIEF: Do not fall into the water SUMMARY: Huge. Deep. Still. Not a smart place to fall into. Numerous dilapidated structures on the quiet grounds form an abandoned, sort of business-town. Now privately owned and rotting away into nothingness, this dying place echoes with the clamor and deeds of a bygone era. BRIEF: Long and colorful history SUMMARY: This house was designed by William Thornton (the architect of the Capitol and Tudor Place) and was built in 1798. It is currently a museum.
The Octagon is the oldest museum in the United States devoted to architecture and design, operated by the American Architectural Foundation. This building was designed by Dr. William Thornton for Col. John Tayloe III, and was constructed between 1799 and 1801. BRIEF: Haunted prison in Mansfield, OH SUMMARY: The facility was built between 1886 and 1910. The Reformatory and remained in full operation until 1972. OSR is supposedly haunted with several paranormal "hotspots" such as the two chapels, the area around the warden's office, the infirmary and solitary confinement. Over 200 people died at the OSR, including a few guards who were killed during escape attempts. BRIEF: A funky place SUMMARY: Tenants who live in the base housing have felt strong presence in their homes. They have problem with small objects which constantly go missing or move to strange places. Many have even heard sounds of footsteps and voices.
