The Museum houses a collection of over 24 million items including archival materials, anatomical and pathological specimens, medical instruments and artifacts, and microscope slide-based medical research collections. BRIEF: There is a surprise upstairs. SUMMARY: Mr. Harding purchased the house and a parcel of adjoining land in 1971. The house is known to be haunted by five ghostly apparitions.
His daughter Sarah died from a nasty viral infection when she was quite young. She had been chained and beaten by her father in one of the upstairs bedrooms of the house for misbehaving, and she became ill. This happened in 1940.
Sarah is buried about 200 feet behind the house.
