It's meant to be valuable to you, to increase your enjoyment and fulfillment, knowledge and understanding, to help you share your experience and find your truth. The point is not necessarily about "proof", it's about experience and evidence, documentation and making and keeping connections.

Through sharing what we know all may benefit. We strive for excellence in all things and welcome compatible individuals and groups at any level.

"We wish to pursue Truth no matter where it leads. But, to find Truth we need imagination and skepticism, both. We will not be afraid to speculate, but we will be careful to distinguish speculation from fact." --Carl Sagan

Education • Documentation

"We foster an environment of constructive peer review, the philosophy being the more active members out there thinking, observing and collecting evidence, the more likely someone is to produce something substantial and the more we all collectively learn. Another way to look at it: Every family has an eccentric member or two; we're the place where all those folks can collectively hang out and feel at home."

Haunts Database

Boldt Castle

BRIEF: A labor of love, once lost, now reclaimed

SUMMARY: Millionaire George C. Boldt owned the world famous Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York City. Perhaps a bit eccentric, or at least with a dramatic flair, Boldt built a true-to-form Rhineland Castle on his private, five-acre Heart Island in Alexandria Bay. With 120 rooms, the fabulous Boldt Castle was modeled after authentic German castles and architecture. The castle was at least partly meant to convey his love and devotion to his wife. No doubt it was to be there special retreat.

Lilburn Mansion

BRIEF: Possibly the most famous "haunted house" in Maryland

SUMMARY: Lilburn is one of the most beautiful homes in the town of Ellicott City (west of Baltimore). Lilburn in Ellicott City remains perhaps the most famous haunted house in Maryland. The stories of ghosts haunting this house have continued for years. The house has been owned by several different families.

"When you get old, the only things you remember are the things you dared to do and the things you didn't dare to do. All the daily stuff, the things you had to do, the things someone paid you to do, blur into the nothingness of 'unimportant to your soul', and when you look back on your life you only see the dreams you made happen and the dreams you were afraid to pursue." --P.J. Gaenir's grandfather
