BRIEF: "Many were burned alive."

SUMMARY: One of the worst railroad disasters occurred on January 4, 1987, when three Conrail freight locomotives traveling above the speed limit between Baltimore and Harrisburg collided with a high-speed Amtrak passenger train near Chase, Maryland. The result was a twisted, flaming wreck that snuffed out 16 people and deathly harmed 170 others. "Many were burned alive."

The White Woman Banshee is known to roam South Mountain often. People dread seeing her because she always seems to foreshadow death and disaster.
