Preservation
"We foster an environment of constructive peer review, the philosophy being the more active members out there thinking, observing and collecting evidence, the more likely someone is to produce something substantial and the more we all collectively learn. Another way to look at it: Every family has an eccentric member or two; we're the place where all those folks can collectively hang out and feel at home."

BRIEF: Even the janitors wouldn't. SUMMARY: Chris O. wrote:
"I spent some time doing odd jobs as a teenager at this private school for girls. The original building which the school is built onto is a very old ranch house which is haunted. I personally experienced (when alone in the building at night) lights going on after I turned them off, sounds of closing doors, sounds of moving furniture. There is an overwell feeling of uneasyness here. Other employees I knew, janitors etc., did not like to go into this part of the school at night and some refused to." BRIEF: Illegitimate stone doppleganger SUMMARY: Little is as eerie as the baleful stare of a piece of graveyard statuary, especially the ominous monolith "Grief" in DC's Rock Creek cemetery, whose illegitimate but infamous doppleganger, "Black Aggie," was once in Pikesville's Druid Ridge Cemetery near Baltimore but now haunts the Dolly Madison house near the Federal Court in DC. (Dolly Madison house was used by president James Madison & wife Dolly after White House was burned.) BRIEF: Ghost from second-floor suicide remains BRIEF: Beware the blonde knock out SUMMARY: This home is haunted by an old man dressed in a black suit and black top hat. He has been seen by most of the elderly living there. Lights in the basement have been known to go on and off by themselves. There is also a young blonde nurse that has been seen by the residents. The nurse has been known to 'make them feel better,' but then a few days after seeing the ghostly nurse some pass away. BRIEF: Ritual witness, inexplicable result. SUMMARY: On a path to Sunrise Museum there is a statue of the Virgin Mary which reportedly cries blood on or about Halloween. It is said that she cries due to witnessing a Satanic ritual that defaced her and the area around her. She is on a trail that leads you to the museum from the railroad tracks below.
