BRIEF: One of the forts protecting Baltimore City SUMMARY: Operated from 1896 until 1928. The Fort was named after Lieutenant Colonel George Armistead, a commander from the War of 1812. The area around the Fort is now a park with water docks and is reportedly haunted by men who served here. Ghost investigators have scoured the fort for great pictures and readings on their equipment. Sadly, the Fort has been allowed to deteriorate; people have vandalized the park and graffiti has been written all over the walls. I found the vandalizing and graffiti disturbing. People lacking knowledge, respect and greater goals seem to sink to this general level. BRIEF: Screams from the past SUMMARY: The area where the Supreme Court is located actually had a sordid history long before the nation's highest court took residence there.
The corner where the Supreme Court is located was once the site of the Old Capitol Building: large, brick, and haunted. It was used temporarily to house employees of the Capitol during repair of fire damage inflicted in the War of 1812. BRIEF: One fallen rides on still.
