BRIEF: A charming "country" house just "outside" of Ellicott City SUMMARY: Peaceful and charming, this old country house and farm is near burgeoning development in Howard County. BRIEF: Another Prison haunted by those who once lived within it's walls SUMMARY: Built east of Bosie in 1870 when the Idaho Territory was under ten years old, the old territorial prison originally a single cell-block, which eventually expanded into campus of several buildings surrounded by a high sandstone wall. The penitentiary is now a historical museum where some visitors and employees have experienced apperisions, cold spots, odd noises, and doors opening and closing by unseen hands. BRIEF: A housekeeping ghost. SUMMARY: The Weaver-Fox House was built in 1874-75. The Clayton family moved into the Weaver-Fox house and soon discovered that they were not alone. After only a few weeks, they decided to take a trip. In preparation, they went through the house locking windows and closing all the doors to the rooms. When the couple returned home they were surprised to find all the doors open in every room. They found a pile of unused towels laying on their bed. They could not figure it out and decided to just let the matter go. BRIEF: An accident from horseback leaves something behind SUMMARY: A woman wearing a nightgown haunts this house. People have seen her in the house. People report hearing footsteps in the house when on one is there. The doors open and close all by themselves. People say you feel as though you are being watched. You never feel as though you are alone in this house. |
