BRIEF: Dedicated employees' spirits frequent this old building SUMMARY: The old train depot was built in 1902 when the Queen Anne's County Railroad Company extended its western terminus 13 miles from Queenstown to Love Point. A connection then existed at Love Point with steamboats for transport across the Chesapeake Bay. The train carried passengers and produce from Kent Island to Baltimore. The rail system ran for 60 miles, from Kent Island to Lewes, Delaware. BRIEF: Noises in the basement SUMMARY: Some say it's the old butler. Others think it's the homeless guy who was living down there before he died. Most think it's just the boiler. A few have heard nothing at all. BRIEF: This "pulling the covers off" has got to stop. SUMMARY: A home in the 1600 block of North Port Street is thought to be haunted. A poltergeist was reportedly driving the owner of the house crazy back in 1936. Here's how: The owner would try to go to bed, but a ghostly apparition would pull the covers off. The poltergeist would sometimes then make the covers fly around the room. The owner of the house ultimately called the police for help. Upon investigation, the authorities could not find any answers as to why the covers were being pulled off and flying around the room. BRIEF: A woman was struck and killed on the blind corner outside this well-known (in Southeast Alaska) watering hole.
