BRIEF: Kent County Public Building: Haunted SUMMARY: The building is haunted by George Read Riddle. His home once stood on the spot where the building now stands. A ghostly dog has been seen on the land howling. BRIEF: Shadowing the Potomac River, this engineering marvel is intertwined with us SUMMARY: Settlers faced huge toil in transporting goods from farms and quarries to market in Washington. There were no interstates or railroads, and overland transportation was slow if not downright treacherous. Navigating the Potomac River was a partial answer to this problem, yet the river was rocky and shallow and of capricious depth. It was and remains a calm but suddenly vicious killer. BRIEF: Something creepy that way goes. SUMMARY: Opened in 1938 as the BORO Theater, the movie house changed it's name a year later to the Bethesda Theater. It operated as a theater until the early 1980's when it finally closed. This art deco theater designed by John Eberson, orriginally had 949 seats. The theater was later converted into a combination theater and drafthouse.
Employees have reported odd sounds and attacks, one claimed to see something floating. BRIEF: Echoes of a national tragedy SUMMARY: Ford's Theatre is haunted by the infamous events that happened there. People have heard John Wilkes Booth's footsteps running up the back staircase towards the presidential box. People have seen shadowy images "running out" from the building. All kinds of weirdness reportedly springs up. |
