SUMMARY: The original part of the house was built in 1790 and was enlarged in 1850. The Inn is haunted by a spirit known as JJ. Employees reported that they have the feeling a man is standing behind them. JJ likes to turn lights off and on and he likes to lock doors. Sometime employees report seeing a man standing crossed legged who just disappears. Workers were in the Barrister Room trying to get windows open, they tried everything and gave up and went on to another task when the window suddenly opened up by themselves. The workers were given lodging while they were working. The workers, after several unusual experiences, refuse to sleep at the Inn. One guest woke up to see a spirit crossing the room to the bathroom. BRIEF: Emergency Room Department & Maternity Ward are reputed to be haunted by a former patient and doctor. SUMMARY: The Emergency Department and Maternity ward are reputed to be haunted by a former patient and OB/GYN Doctor. BRIEF: Dead baby; hung mother; never a good combo. SUMMARY: This house was once a once was a boardinghouse prior to becoming an Antique Shop. A woman lived in the house, and she became a unwed mother. She was in her 40s at the time when gave birth to a baby in the house. The baby died and the woman became depressed. She committed suicide by hanging herself from a balcony. BRIEF: A 14-mile parade of wounded soldiers SUMMARY: With numerous battles going on, vying for best position, this place quickly became a bloody mess. BRIEF: A daughter and mother experience the supernatural. SUMMARY: One woman stayed at the Inn with her mother. Her mother was awakened by the sound of humming. She looked up and saw the ghostly silhouette of a woman with her hair in a bun walking at the foot of the bed. And then she disappeared. The next night she was awakened by the sound of a group of people marching outside, and they were talking and yelling back and forth. The Inn is located near Gettysburg College.
