SUMMARY: It is said that in the 1800's tragedy struck when a young newlywed couple was riding their horse-drawn buggy through the hollow on their way home after the wedding. A small animal is said to have darted out of the woods, spooking the horses and causing the buggy to roll off the road and into the creek. The bride died from a broken neck and the groom was pinned under a horse (which had become lame) and slowly died next to his new bride.
It is said by many locals that on dark nights a fog creeps up onto the road (uh, more of a dirt lane) and a horse-drawn buggy fast approaching is audible; soon enough there is a crash, a scream, and then all is silent and the fog vanishes. BRIEF: Orbs of light SUMMARY: People have seen orbs of light floating around the tree at night.
A ghostly Man has been seen in an old truck reading a newspaper. The truck is sitting in an impossible place. The truck back is sitting next to an 8 foot ditch and the rest is surrounded by thick woods. BRIEF: Former caretaker still hustles about the church at night. SUMMARY: Zion Lutheren Church in Williamsport, Maryland is haunted by a friendly ghost who sometimes likes to move things to her pleasing. Supposedly a former caretaker of the church and dubbed 'Granny' by the church staff who encounter her today, she can sometimes be heard walking through the church at night. Occasionaly swtiching light switches that are left on or moving random objects. Not a ghost to be feared, but just a spirit who may be there to lend a helping hand. BRIEF: A ghost dancing SUMMARY: When it was open, people would sometimes report dishes moving and pots and pans falling. Also reported on several occasions has been "a dancing ghost."
