BRIEF: Mary's shrieks are now the stuff of legend SUMMARY: It's said the "shrieks" from deep inside the air ducts may be attributed to Mary, an unfortunately traumatized student who was eviscerated by powerful fan blades. BRIEF: Many locals have seen the light, which appears to be searching for someone or something SUMMARY: This light, often reported near Moorefield, West Virginia appears on the Cole Mountain, part of the Appalachians. People have reported seeing the orange and red light in the embankment of Cole Mountain for over 100 years, since the mid 1800's. The local residents are baffled at what the light could be. The lights are called "Spook Light."
The light has seen by hundreds of people over decades. People say that the light will bob up and down the mountainside. No one has ever gotten close to the light; it moves away as approached. The light can be seen best from a road at the base of the mountain.
Many people from the area have had strange encounters with the light. One time several hunters were chased down the mountain by the light.
